Please I need to know the legend of the little people's path in Oklahoma down the street from Hoffmans mansion. If anyone knows the real story please post it here. Submitted by Robert

I've seen a few ghosts around different areas of Joplin in my life. I grew up south of Joplin in the 1960s and worked downtown in the 1970s 80s and 90s and saw several ghosts in the old old areas of north Joplin where there were many old mansions and buildings from the early 1900s (or earlier? ).

But I believe the very first ghost I saw in Joplin was while in my teens when I went with a group of friends to Landreth park and on over to the then-abandoned train station building. At the time it was abandoned and fenced-up. It was at the train station where we saw the ghost of a tall man in old styled clothes (from the turn of the century? ) coming out of one of the doorways. This was just after Sunset and there was still a little light to see by.
It so startled us because the ghost was white like mist! The ghost walked on down to where the rails used to be and on north toward the park and out of sight. Needless to say we never went back to the area.
