There is a house in Marthasville that is across the street from an old brick house by the elementary. The man that lived in the house was the care taker of the old brick house that died in 1995. Some say when you drive past the house at night, you can see him sitting in his chair.

Joerling Rd 5 miles outside of Marthasville has some frightening stories. The road is on a steep Hillside and has loose gravel. Around 6 years ago an 18 year old boy on his four wheeler came around the first corner when going down the hill and slid off of the road and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Today there is a stone along the side of the road which says RIP SKIP. The stone is now broken due to a wreck up against it. If you drive down Joreling at 12:00 am you can see a boy walking on the side of the road after his wreck.

Charret creek bridge located at the end of falling timber road has a few haunting stories of it's own. In 1988 the bridge was closed to traffic from partial structure collapse. In 2007 the tree fell and damaged the rail of the bridge. The floor of this bridge has been destroyed by age and is dangerous to walk on.
