In Meadville we have an old legend that if you walk along north Macon Street in the middle of the night, you'll see a little girl dancing and playing in the middle of the street. She's about 7 or 8 and wears an old pilgrim-like dress. It's said that if you talk to her or follow her, you're never seen again. My mother believed this story religiously and throughout my childhood even in my teen years she begged me not to walk our own street. I think that
