Also one night my sister went crazy. My mom said it was because she was sick. She took all her blankets and pillows and threw them down the front stairs. Things did seem to get way worse when we started painting.
It was so scary I knew something was bad about that house. We lived there in maybe 2006- 2007. My little brother always heard footsteps upstairs but never told anyone! I cannot believe it's haunted and we stayed there a year!. Submitted

During the Civil War, over 10,000 Union troops were camped out in and around Rolla, MO. ! My gr. gr. grandfather was one of them: Major Thomas William Chandler, 136th Illinois volunteer regiment. Regiment enlisted at Morris, Illinois, camped on the bank of the fox River at Montgomery, ill, rode the train out of aurora to quincy, ill. They rode the steamship Warsaw down miss. River to St. Louis, and the train out to Rolla. I believe the soldiers spirits are very much 'alive' in and around Rolla!. Submitted by Kathy
Comment by Toni: I would have to agree on the fact that there are Civil War soldier spirits in Rolla, MO. I have felt quite a few and was very bothered by one when I lived at N Walnut Street. He was always in the basement and hid in the shadows there. Loved the house but hated the basement.
