My dog and I had an experience during our stay at the T.E. Lodge in Sedalia, MO. My dog is very calm and easy-going, but late one night when my husband and I took her out to the grassy area in front of the hotel, she suddenly got spooked. In a panic, she pulled us as hard as she could, back to the hotel. She did not calm down until we were safely in our room. My husband and I were baffled.
The next day, I had a difficult time getting her to go outside

and had to force her out the door. As the day wore on, she seemed to forget the incident, and we had no problems during our walks along the grassy area.

Late that night, while my husband was at work, I took her out to the grassy area to do her business. For a while, everything was fine, and then she suddenly got spooked again and tugged hard at her leash to return to the hotel room. This time, I looked back and saw a black shadowy ghost about three feet tall, moving toward us from the far side of the field. This time, we both high-tailed it back to the room. There, I prayed for our protection.
