It's been known there are black cats crossing the road every night of sept 9th. Some say it's the evil gatherings of Satan worshipers that gathered long ago in the summer nights if the fields of the current train station area. My friend and I witnessed a hair standing experiences of the area. This past September 9th we heard the crying of cats and scared of fridged coldness in the air. Never the less it didn't take us long to high tail it out of

A friend and I one beautiful afternoon were sitting on a hill in the countryside outside of town (south of it I think) and we both had a cold creepy eerie feeling. Sitting we both turned out heads in the direction of where ''it'' was coming from. Standing with a Civil War type sword at his side was a ghost. You could see right through him like a hologram. His eye sockets were strange and like glowing red coals. His face looked mournful! He wore no hat but he was wearing a very tattered uniform and it looked like he had Union colors on the bottom and Confederate on the top. I think he had no shoes, the pants were in shreds at the bottom. We both took off running as hard as we could it was that frightening. This is a true story. Later we learned that the men had mutinied on an officer for his cruelty and refused to allow him to be buried in a field near this.
