I personally work at the hotel. I have always thought the ghost stories were for tourist attraction. While I do believe in spirits I have never believed in ghost stories. Mainly because I have never experienced anything.
Working here has changed all that. I often hear heels going up and down the stairway as well as children running down the halls. That is weird because nowadays we don't have many children staying at the hotel.
I have also seen glimpses of shadows. Just a few days ago I had my first scared feeling about it when I was cleaning the Truman room bathrooms. I shut the door to the stall and saw a woman dressed in black with dark hair and a shadowy ere to her.

She was gone when I looked back.

Comment by The Millers: We stayed here for a weekend getaway and were terrified by the multiple supernatural encounters we experienced. We heard music in halls late at night. We saw an older gentleman who appeared at the oddest times. It's hidden throughout our room over night, and bathroom lights flickered off and on throughout the night. This is a real haunting.

Comment by Mike: I was the elevator operator / bellhop from 68-71 afternoons and evenings after school. I knew the older permanent residents on each floor. Rooms 305, 405, 505 corner rooms 310, 410, 510 were all continually occupied by them.
They were all nice people except one room 305. I won't disclose his name but he always wore a hat and smoked a pipe. He was always happy and a practical joker of sorts he also smoked a pipe if you smell pipe smoke I believe it's one of these two.
If you hear a radio on the 5th floor near the corner listen close as it might be a cardinal baseball g game on as the man in 510, loved the Cardinals. Numerous footsteps running around. Elevator buzzers buzzing and no one there when I got there.
Nothing harmful just strange even the old guy in 305. Say hi to Goldie at the switchboard/front desk.
