I used to live on W 1st in Stover - I believe the oldest house in Stover and it was haunted. I used to see fast moving black shadows and sometimes feel like I was being watched. One time about a week after I moved in there about 4 am I saw a young woman in a nightgown glide through the kitchen and out the back door.

That one freaked me and my dog out! And the dog sees the stuff but does not usually react to it beyond looking at it. Stover has the old Rock Island depot in town. It was directly behind my house. The tracks through town are gone - removed and the railroad has not been used for many years.

While I lived there I heard the train at least a few times. (there are no working tracks for many miles.).
