was home but him. One night my boyfriend and I were watching a movie; we heard a distinct knock on our dresser. Then about two seconds later we heard the same knock in the same place. We and our roommates would always hear what sounded like a woman and man fighting. We would hear the woman's voice yelling and screaming. The house always felt dark and depressing. I have always wondered about the history but do not know it.

Comment by Mike: It is possible that the man and woman fighting noises are possible that they are remains of a fight and one of the spirits thinks the man is their husband and is trying to kill them.

We lived on the old air force housing in NW Lincoln for a few years. The duplex we lived in was haunted two times a year -- from October to November by an air force guy named Mark, and in the summer by a little girl in a white dress who reminds me of Nellie Olsen in Little House on the Prairie. When we first moved in in September I could sense something was 'not right' with the house. At first, our experiences were fairly benign. Starting in October, I would catch a glimpse of a man in a blue air force uniform at the end of the hall. Once I heard a whoosh like someone rushing down the hall and looked up just in time to see an arm in a long sleeved blue shirt swing into the kitchen, as if someone had run into the kitchen from the hall. I checked, and no one was there. That was the first time I got the name Mark and the mental image that he was running late for work and ran in to grab his coffee before heading out (all this happened within seconds). Eventually, things calmed down and ended.
