As a child we lived in a house in the Belmont area that had some strange happenings going on there. I was maybe 3 years old and my sister 5. We were supposed to be taking a nap in our room we shared on the second floor.
We heard a scratching noise coming from the attic door and something was picking up the door and letting it fall shut it did this a few times then a small dark shape hung down from the ceiling for just a few seconds then was

gone.
We were told it was nothing not to worry about it but the attic door soon was sealed shut. We heard noises in the house all the time as though

there was a person walking down the stairs with a cane.
The dog would have a low growl and her hair would stand up on her back when there was no one around. We lived in that house for 5 or 6 years and nothing ever physically harmed us just scarred the Dickens out of us..
