Some time ago in 2012 a friend and I were driving west on Highway 30. We passed an old farmstead. (It has since been removed for the Highway 30 widening project). We had an uneasy feeling about that house as if something bad had happened. A couple of months later we went back to investigate with cameras. This house was located about two miles east of the old link turnoff on the west side of town. We didn't see anything when we took the pictures. At least there was nothing evident, but my friend was quite disturbed and spent several days with profound sadness after this.
The next time we drove past the uneasy feeling was not there; maybe the residents needed someone to mourn them. I have included pictures of the house and the two images of the interior seem to have a gentleman sitting against the wall with his feet possibly soaking in a tub. In another it appears that there is a woman who hanged herself (or was hanged). You be the judge.
