It is rumored that there was a car that drove into the Sutherland Reservoir back in the early seventies. The car carried two young men and a strapping young lady. Legends say that if you go out there at three in the morning you can still hear the crying voices yelling for help. Some people claimed to have seen headlights driving around in the lake. Risk takers be aware.

Out by the one Lane bridge north of town headlights can be seen driving through the bridge and stopping in the middle. You can audibly hear the doors of a car opening and closing a splash in the water and a cries from a child.
It is rumored that a young boy was thrown off of that bridge at some point in the 80's by his stepfather and drunk mother but the body was never found. No one can justify if that story is true but those who have seen the lights and heard the splashes and screams believe it.
