as someone scratching the walls inside his room. The scratches appeared to slowly get louder and come closer to where his bed was situated. And once again, he felt a strange presence in this room, but he saw no one visibly there. He was now so scared to the point that he curled up entirely under his bed sheets for the remainder of the night. Eventually, the noises stopped and he headed off to work once more. of this complex and asked to be moved to another apartment wing altogether as he related these strange occurrences to her as well. The apartment manager

told him that even though she did not believe in these types of things; oddly enough she had received similar complaints from a previous tenant who had also experienced more or less the same things he had and who also asked to be moved to another wing.

We (my new wife, a 3-year-old girl, and 5-year-old boy) lived in the Appleby Apartments on Gregg Street in Fayetteville. After a year our kids would see a swirling smoke cloud above the corner of the room and freak out. They also said they saw a friendly smiling man in a coat and hat (the hat - circa 1940s by their description) at the foot of their beds occasionally. Through the times we would wake up with EVERY light on in the house, even on the weekends when the kids were visiting their biological father, even the oven light.
