Anyone from here is familiar with Lake Nickels. It's a small lake just north of town. Before the lake was there there was a farm. On that farm lived a psychotic farmer who kidnapped several people and killed them and buried them behind his house.
They never found out until after he was dead when his son found the bodies by accident. Then later they dammed the creek and the farm was submerged. That's when the hauntings started happening. People started

seeing ghosts that were obviously the murder victims based on the descriptions.
The ghosts are still there. You can see them if you go up to the lake
|
in the early morning. This story is absolutely true. It was covered up for some reason. Maybe to protect someone who was in on the crimes with the old farmer but if you ask the really old people in town some of the oldest ones might still remember.
