I have family in Pettigrew.... Or should I say had... Jessie and hazel Ford were my uncle and aunt. I would love for them to wander around sometime... Just here where I live. I loved Pettigrew as a child in the 60's...
Swimming in the creek there going to the only store in town that served as a gas station and post office too... Staying the night with my family that had no indoor plumming and we had to take a bath in a wash tub sleeping in a feather

bed that had probably 50 lbs of quilts on it and an old wood stove that cooked their scrumpious food that aunt hazel would serve up for us...

Last tues I was sitting on the bridge that goes over to the old Madison community center and I got a weird chilly feeling. I look up and saw a white figure gliding toward me. The only thing I've ever seen like it was in that zmovie Casper the friendly ghost.
I swear I wasn't on drugs I'd only had bout 2 beers. It winked at me and disappeared. I swear!.
