I have always had the ability to see and hear things others could not. When I was twenty my husband and I lived with his parents in a small house on County Road 206. This place was eerie, and I had so many experiences there. I heard footsteps when no one else was home. Rushing out of my room thinking someone had broken in, I found the doors and windows were all locked, and nobody was there. I would wake up at night hearing voices outside our bedroom window not really being able to hear what they were saying. My husband never heard anything. He is a seriously heavy sleeper. I was outside playing with my infant daughter when I saw a man I did not know standing next to the house. When I looked at him he turned and walked behind it. I went to ask him if he needed something, and in the two seconds it took me to run around there he was gone. I searched all around the house, in the house, scanned the woods, (though in two seconds it would have been impossible for him to have gotten into the woods) and checked inside. I would get the feeling of being watched or followed around the house.
A couple of things I did not personally experience happened to my mother-in-law. One day (long before I moved in) she was looking for the deed to the house, and she had searched the house all day long. She could not find it anywhere. She was about to give up when she heard a woman say ''it's in the pink bag in the closet. '' Knowing there was not a pink bag in her closet, she went to the closet in the other bedroom and dug until she reached the bottom of a pile. There was a small pink purse with the deed folded up inside it. One night after my husband and I moved out she and my father-in-law were lying in bed when they heard people running around outside. My father-in-law went to investigate, but nobody was outside. They went back to bed, but the sound continued. Then they began hearing people shouting ''hurry! Hurry up, please. They're burning!'' and ''get some more buckets! '' and a woman screaming. My mother-in-law did some research on the property. She found out that around the time of the Civil War a family lived on the property, and their house was set on fire. Some family members made it out, but the man's wife and two of his children did not. The entire family was buried in a cemetery just up the hill from the house.

On Highway 265 leading out to Hogeye there is an open field next to a garage (it used to be called Boyz Under Tha Hood. ) I would always get a feeling of dread and sadness when we drove past it heading to see his parents'. My husband asked me one day why I always shivered when we drove by there, and I told him the truth. I told him ''I feel like someone is buried there who is not supposed to be. '' He told me I was crazy. Fast forward a couple of months, we were sitting in my in-law's living room, and my mother-in-law who researches and documents cemeteries for the state started talking about a cemetery they found in a field just down the road. My husband looked at me funny, and his mom asked what was wrong. I asked her if it was the field next to the garage, and she said ''yes, it was. '' She asked how I knew. I told her that I would get that eerie feeling that someone was buried there that should not be. She gasped and her eyes went wide. She proceeded to tell us that it was an old family cemetery, but someone was buried there that did not belong with the family. A man was arrested in Fayetteville for murdering his wife and died in jail awaiting his hearing. They had nowhere else to bury him, so they put him in that cemetery.

My husband while still not completely a believer does not question when I get strange feeling as much anymore. I have so many more experiences in so many more different towns, but I will save them for another day.

I was sitting I'm the living room with the lights on and from where I was sitting you could see right into the bedroom and the bedroom was dark but at the foot of the bed I promise that I saw just 2 like glowing eyes standing at the foot of the bed it wasn't very tall but it was staring right at me and I was like wow and I told somebody that was sitting on the couch there was something at the foot of the bed with glowing eyes it looks like it would be a little child but I know it was not a child all you could see was the eyes, and like a black shape maybe and I look back and it was still at the foot of the bed like looking at me like maybe it was moving a little bit I was kind of freaked out I'm not sure how long it lasted but then it just vanished not positive what it was I just saw that one time but I'm sure it wasn't something nice and sometimes it felt like something was pulling the blanket or the sheet from the bottom of the bed all on the right hand side of the bed and there was nothing there no animals no kids nothing that could have been doing it to the human eyes happen in Prairie Grove.
