My parents my sister and myself used to live with my grandmother. I was probably 5 years old and my sister was six at this time. My grandmother had an old house near downtown Van Buren. Every night after my sis and I went to bed our grandmother would check on us.
We would hear her walk down the hall and the door would creak as she opened it slightly to peer in at us. My grandmother became ill and was taken to the hospital. My parents came home, but

grandma had to stay at the hospital.
We went to bed that night and as usual our grandmother checked up on us. The next morning we went to the kitchen

to visit her and our parents told us that she had died that night in the hospital. We could not believe it; we told them that we saw her check on us but they did not believe us... But we know what we saw and she was there.

I was staying at the Super 8 in Van Buren sleeping sound when I felt a hand in my shoulder. I looked over at my boyfriend, and he was sleeping. I rubbed my eyes and saw a hazy figure of a man dressed in Civil War blue coat uniform. He looked at me and disappeared. This was December 20th, 2014 at approx. 3 am.
