My husband was born in Covington and only lived there a short time. After he was born my in-laws heard footsteps walking up the stairs of their house go to my husbands door open it go in and rock his cradle.
If they went up to see his cradle would be rocking with my husband in it. They didn't freak out after the first few times. They just chalked it up as being a motherly ghost; it never tried to harm anyone.

If you go to Bogue Falaya Park and look across the Bogue Falaya River on the other side you might see the Bogue Falaya River Ghost. He has been haunting the area since the early 1900s. No one knows who he is or was, he just appeared on day and has been appearing since.

Comment by John: I googled ''Covington ghost'' hoping for a sighting reported at the Bogue Falaya Park pavilion. As a kid I had intense fear of the big dance hall. I still remember it as being haunted even in the day time I was in fear.
I never had those feelings anywhere else. I never saw anything. But this is interesting!.
