have wondered if anyone else has seen this ghost or had experiences in this room. I don't remember the room number, but I do remember the room was on the north side of the small hospital, all the way to end of the hall. It was the last room on the left in the day surgery patient room area.

I worked for thirty years at the Main Post Office on Moss Street in Lake Charles, LA. I have heard and seen many strange things over the years. I was also told by many old timers that an FBI agent killed himself in the chiller room in the 1960s. They claimed someone would blow in their ear while taking chiller readings. I have personally seen the inside chiller room door open and close completely on its own with no one present. There was no wind or change in air pressure within the building. There's holding jail cells upstairs in the old marshal office. Many times employees could hear the cell doors slamming or rattling. I have heard it myself.

One employee watching a security monitor in the Marshal's office saw a black non-descript figure walking down the hallway outside the office. He opened the door to take a look, and nothing was there. However, the figure remained on the TV monitor moving down the hall, then turned and appeared to walk through the door into the judges' office just outside. Many times footsteps were heard walking these hallways at night when no one was there. One night I personally heard footsteps approaching me from behind in the hallway. I stopped and turned around to see no one as the footstep continued to approach me. When the footstep reached me, a cold wave went through my body and out. The footsteps continued to go down the hall after passing right through me!
One judge that worked in the old federal court passed away while I worked here. He had a large built-up shoe, due to childhood polio I suppose. Every day around 5:00 pm I could hear the judges large hollow shoe ''klop, klop, klop'' as he left the back maintenance stairway each day. Two weeks after the judge passed I heard klop, klop, klop at 5:00 pm as the judge would normally leave. However, this time the ''judge'' did not leave the building. He approached the maintenance shop where I sat. As the steps got closer, I assumed that someone had found something to mimic the judge's shoe and was playing a joke. As the footsteps arrived very plainly at the office door, I immediately jumped up and sprain into the hallway in an attempt to surprise the joker. To my surprise no one was there!.
