It was in late fall. The car was running, and the lights were turned on. I just looked over at one point towards the guard-rail and saw this thing. There was just enough light from the headlights to illuminate the figure partially. The angle the car was facing was parallel with the guard-rail, so the lights couldn't hit that spot directly. I asked my cousin if he saw what I was seeing.
As he looked over, his girlfriend screamed in my ear from the back

of the car. At that point I gunned it out of there. Everyone agreed that they saw something hulking over the guard-rail. It made no sense. There were

no reflectors on the railing, and just on the other side is a down-slope going into a marsh. We just knew we had seen a large silhouette with two red eyes in the dark, and it wasn't a tree. I've lived out in Colorado for a while and explored very remote back-country areas far larger than Louisiana.
I have encountered a mother bear with cubs in a tree with a group of people. I've encountered 1 to at times 5 moose with bulls in the herd. Those encounters
