I am one of the owners of the Roland M. Filhiol house which is located on Stone Ave. in downtown Monroe. I have lived in the home for about six years. Before purchasing the house we had been told by several individuals that there were stories that they had been told about the house being haunted.
Needless to say it didn't take long for us to have our own experiences which caused us to sometime question our sanity. First of all there's the story of ''little

Larry'' the tenant who rented one of the apartments on the second floor.
He has absolutely no problem letting you know he's here to stay. He apparently

died upstairs while in his 70's. His hospital bed was still in his bedroom when we moved in. The bed was one of the only pieces of furniture in that apartment needless to say it was one of the first things to go.
Boy was that a mistake. He acted up for at least a month after it was thrown out. Still to this day I will not walk through that long foyer without some type of light on and even with that the feeling a lot of people get while their back is
