In the summer between my third and fourth grade years my family moved into a new home on Burgessville Road just north of Ruston. Almost immediately and on a fairly regular basis I would wake in the early morning to the sound of footsteps entering my closed bedroom door. The steps would walk around my bed and then half way back stop, and nothing else would happen. Initially my mom and dad would let me finish the night in their room. After a week or

so they made me stay in my room. It happened on such a regular basis that I just got used to it and was no longer frightened. This went on over the next

nine or so years until I went to college. To the best of my knowledge no one else in my family had any similar experiences.
However, years after moving from Ruston I was told that the family who purchased the home from my mom and dad did in fact have some fairly extreme incidents. In addition, I was only recently told by a family member that they were contacted by someone else who had lived there and asked if our family had ever had ever experienced
