said ''there's no one out there. '' She then told me that multiple people had reported a woman walking the halls of the maternity ward who would ask about her baby and then disappear. I went back out, but did not see the woman. At the time, this was way out in the country, and it was quite unusual to see a person at night, particularly outdoors, other than the handful of night employees, who I knew on sight. No one seemed to know who she could have been,

but there had been a number of recorded deaths of both mothers and babies at the hospital. Could this have been a ghost of one of them? I don't know.
