I live in port Hudson near hwy 68 and hwy 61 maybe 2 miles from port Hudson Battle Ground. I know a teen boy who was my next door neighbor and went to Zachary High. He said he woke in the middle of the night hearing men talking.
He went to the living room and saw three Yankee solders playing card sitting on the floor. Another neighbor girl said she saw a Yankee solder outside her bedroom window in the yard. I personally heard a man yelling something

very loud but no one was there.
Yankee solders camped in this area. The battle of Port Hudson was a 60 day siege.

I lived in a house in Zachary near Slaughter and there was definitely a presence there. Me and my children heard and felt things that were unexplainable. Mostly footsteps going up the stairs. I was physically touched twice.
Doors open and shut on their own. My daughter saw a half person on the top of the stairs. I sold the house and the new owner has not contacted me. I know the history of the home and nothing too tragic happened there.
