Teachers didn't even like staying late when I was in high school there. Submitted by Caleraresi

The Calera High School has a ghost. All I know is her name is Rachel. Calera had an underground gym back in the day and as you can imagine there had to be ceiling supports. If I remember right this happened in the 20's or 30s. Anyway Rachel was on the basketball team. During a game she went for a layup and was pushed into one of the ceiling support uprights. She broke her neck and died before she got to the hospital. Now fast forward into the present.

The underground gym is closed and only used for storage. A new gym was built in the late 50's directly on top of the underground one and that is what is used today. Basketballs can be heard bouncing in the gym even though no one is there.

The buzzer will go off unexplained. My friends mom used to be a janitor there and she said she went down there to take some supplies and there a bunch of old school typewriters down there and she heard the keys clicking. You can be setting in there by yourself and just get the most awful feeling of dread. I have experienced that myself. Submitted by Jared
Comment by Townsend's: They hung someone in the old gym. That's why they built the new one. But yes that school is very haunted. Rachelle was a family member of mine. And yes there was a gym underground. The windows were on the ground. I do have pictures of it.
