was about to be murdered. He had long wet hair like he stepped in out of the rain, and he was wearing a tricorn hat (the kind from the Civil War era that soldiers wore) and a long trench coat. I was frozen, so I just shut my eyes as tight as I could and lay still for what seemed like a lifetime. The next morning he obviously was gone.

time after that. My dad was a contractor and had an electrician friend from OKC who stayed with us one night because he had a job close to Catoosa. He needed a place to crash. In the middle of the night the house began to fill up with smoke. My dad, his friend, and I all woke up to the smell of thick smoke in every room of the house.
