My uncle told me later in life that he, too, saw a spirit there. A man in a suit, seated in a chair, watching my uncle as he slept. My uncle said as soon as he awoke, the man slowly dissipated. I believe this man could have been responsible for the loud, boorish footsteps that could be heard from downstairs, as he ''walked'' in the rooms up above.
There was a female slaves quarters on my grandparent's property, as well, but I heard this was burned down.

The house was built in the 1800's, I believe. I wish that beautiful haunted house with the unusual rock fence had been preserved by the historical society.

last I saw of it was after both of my grandparents had passed, and some complete idiot had destroyed that gorgeous house by making a bunch of crappy ''modern'' remodeling to it. It churned my stomach, and broke my heart. I sure hope whoever wrecked that house is being made miserable by the spirits who are the rightful owners of that house for treating it so god damned disrespectfully.
