I live about half a block away from the Washita River east of Clinton just off of hwy 183. I hear a woman crying sometimes when I take my trash out. I told an older Native American about what I hear at night. He said it's a ghost of a Native American girl that had a baby behind her fathers back. He was the chief of the tribe and if he found out that it looked bad especially him being the chief.
So she had the baby and washed down the river. When she returned to the tribe her father asked where's the baby. Some how he knew; she told him what she did. He told her to go find the baby and not to come back without it so her ghost is still on the river looking for her baby.

They say there is a kid you can see at old church that is now Pedro's on 13th and Avant. Mom went for a paper and saw him at the window. They say he comes out a lot and mostly in the basement.
