My grandparents built their retirement home off of Highway 56 in Cromwell, OK and were there up until 2013 when they moved to Texas. I spent most summers and weekends at my grandparents' home for all of my childhood and into my adulthood until they moved. When I was 17 I had woken up in the middle of the night with a burning sensation on my back. I had gotten up to use the restroom and checked out my back. I had what appeared to be a large hand print in the middle of my back.

About a year later, my mother and I were lying awake in the same bedroom the first encounter occurred when we heard something fall to the ground. When I got up to look I found my makeup bag had been what appeared to be pushed off of the medium height dresser. It's very well logical to say that the bag could have easily fallen off the dresser, but along with my makeup bag was also my hair brush on the floor which was placed on the opposite side of my makeup bag on the dresser. Along with those occurrences were two sightings of a tall thin man. He was bald and was wearing what appeared to be a white dress shirt and black slacks. This man was seen by a guest from out of town and a relative staying there for the holidays. I was never a believer in ghosts until having experienced one myself. I don't care what anyone says, but they are real, and the town of Cromwell is crawling with spirits.
