I was stationed at Fort Sill so I found a duplex outside of Sill in the town of Geronimo, I went back home to the east coast to get my wife, and kid and made sure that all the doors inside and outside the house were closed. When we (myself and the family) returned to the duplex with a moving truck I noticed the pantry closet door was open, I closed it and went on about my way we started unloading and tucked in for the night that night at approx. 1230 or so the fire alarm went off I got up in my normal take control and fight mode when I realized the house was full of smoke but no fire was visible nor any heat was able to be felt also I noticed it smelt like a camp fire. When I flicked on the light the smoke started disappearing, and the alarm cut off. I stopped yelling and calmed down looked at my wife which was going down the hallway. I was in my kids room grabbing them and just threw my hands in the air cause it's kind of ticked me off that someone or something was pranking or letting me know its presence. Also I started noticing about 2.5 months in that the garage door was opening and closing on its own. I thought it's the airport and made that comment to a friend who was over at the house and as I mentioned it the door started raising so I took him outside so I could say see there is the airplane but there was no plane. And we were outside for over 2 hours if one would've come in we would've heard it as it passes in front of the house about 1500 feet out and 750-1000 ft off the deck. I still don't have a clue as this was a new duplex and a new subdivision but I guess that could've been an Indian settlement at one time I suppose but I just cant explain it.

I am new to Ft Sill so I have had no experiences yet. I do work in a building that is on the same location as where Geronimo died. I will keep posting if I have a sighting. Submitted by Don
Comment by Ken: Geronimo did not die on post. He was allowed to go to town and then he died on the side of the road from complications of pneumonia.
Comment by K. I.: I too am certain that the spirit of Geronimo is still at Fort Sill. I do not know how Chief Geronimo died but have always felt that he was still around as if he is waiting for something or someone. I am only partly Native American but know he is still around for a reason. I feel a great deal of respect for his spirit and all things that Geronimo believed in.
