Geronimo did not die a happy man and his ghost still walks around Fort Sill but only a few people have seen or heard him. I think people may be afraid to mention seeing or hearing him if they are stationed at Fort Sill because they do not know how his ghost will react to it.
I once thought I heard some banjo and guitar music playing very faintly but never told anyone. I was probably wrong by not telling anyone about it. This happened many years ago when I was in the army.
One day near Geronimo's grave I thought I heard a horse neigh and then I could smell horse manure in spite of the fact there wasn't anyone or thing nearby. Fort Sill can be creepy if you are new to that post.|
