My husband and I often cross through Lexington, Oklahoma to visit his grandmother. On the night of April 17th, 2022 at 2 to 3 a.m. we drove down a street before the bridge to Purcell, and we both noticed a black shadowed figure crossing the road that looked like a large dog. Estimating the size, I would say it was five foot tall to maybe six. The figure was on all fours kind of skinny upper body with large joints or knees that were really long. It disappeared,

and we tried looking for a dog or animal, but there were no animals around. It was pitch black and moved quickly. Then we noticed a tall dark figure in

the shape of a man wearing a large hat in the middle of the road. There was a full moon, and we didn't see any cars through town. There were a couple of other black shadows I noticed as well but could not identify. Submitted by Minnie

Our home was built in 1898. I had never heard the stories about my house before we bought it. I've not done much investigating, but I did find out it used to be a boarding house for railroad workers. This explains one of our guest. One night my daughter felt like she was being watched, so she turned over and saw a man in railroad clothing. (None of my children or I knew any of the history at this point.) My family are not scared of ghost, so she told him to go on, but he kept standing there. She told him she wasn't moving, and if he was tired, just get in the bed and go to sleep and leave her alone! He promptly did. Just recently my 78-year-old grandson said there was a young girl upstairs. None of our guest bother us and are welcome to stay as long as they remain friendly. We often hear people talking, but no physical person was there . We have now lived here 14 years and are happy as well as our guest are.
