Some time during the 1990's the old bridge just crumbled and fell into the river because of it's advanced age and was never rebuilt. But if you drive down to the old bridge site late at when there is a full moon you will see two wine glasses suspended in mid air where the bridge was once located.

Comment by Lupoccindian: I used to visit that bridge. I remember when it was an trestle steel frame but wooden deck only one vehicle could pass.. I played there as a child.. One night some friends of mine were out; nothing better to do. I told them about the bridge..
As we sat parked on it... the radio turned on... It was unexplained because the key wasn't in the ignition...
