I am very surprised that no one has submitted the story of the haunted slaughter house off of Highway 9 by the animal shelter, so I guess I should then. The tale goes back when the slaughter house was working, a couple of workers died there. One fell onto a hook, and another one had a heart attack or something along the lines of natural causes. Either way, the tale that was told to me is that the ghosts relive their death each night, about every Halloween kids/teens go there to see the ghosts. Me and two of my friends went there one Halloween night to see the ghosts for ourselves, There was a lot more others there too. I did not go in because the car next to us told us that we should wear tennis shoes or boots to go in because the floors were weak and nails were scattered around. I was wearing flip-flops, so I stayed in my car, while my friends went in. They told me nothing really happened while in there just strange smells of course since it's a very old place, and some unexplained sounds, but they would not quite say it was a haunting. I have not been back there since, but maybe whoever else is reading this has been there and witnessed it for themselves and they can share their story. I just know it is a local famous tale there.

Comment by anonymous: What is the name of the slaughter house, can't find anything by shelter.
Comment by Me: I wanted to know to what was the name of the shelter where the slaughter house is by. Can't find any info, is it towards the Norman or Tucumseh side of Highway Nine.
Comment by Dylan: Slaughter House. Exit off highway 9 towards the Rudy'sBBQ Restaurant. Head down that road and pass the dump and just pass the electric plant. There is an abandoned slaughter house painted in multiple different colors for some odd reason, not sure why.

My husband and I were still asleep at about 5:50 am this morning when all of a sudden I heard the distinct sound of a bead slightly bouncing and rolling across my sewing desk. I have an arts and crafts room right outside our bedroom and it's exactly where I heard the noise coming from (the door was ajar. ) I sat up straight in bed and yelled out to my husband to get up quickly because first my fear was that an intruder was there.
