I am finally glad to hear someone else address the number of suicides in such a small town. Growing up there as a child it became almost normal to hear the adults talking about yet another suicide. We were always aware of unexplained sightings of ghostly figures.
It was always talked about casually as the spirit of the latest suicide victim it was not until my family moved from there that I realized that such things were just not the norm in other cities.

I am not surprised at the ghost sightings considering all the suicides that took place in Olustee over the years. There were said to be plenty of ghostly sightings around one of the old doctors house such as a light that would come out of the house as you walked by and follow you to a certain point and suddenly stop, some of the old timers say the light stops at the sight of an unsolved murder of a young girl!!!.

Comment by Danielle: Very creepy we are new to Olustee and when we moved here we were told stories of these sightings which we thought people were nuts lol... Well now I think there is more to it. Will be watching out for things and posting here if I have a story to tell. It is very interesting.
