I did not believe in ghosts and wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. One cold winter night my friend woke me up and told me to come to his room to hear something. I did, his girlfriend was in the bed crying from fear.
The three of us (me, my friend, and his girl) sat in the dark cold room for at least 15 minutes listening to the unmistakable sound of footsteps pacing back and forth right above us. I'm not stupid or crazy, neither was my friend,

the girlfriend may have been a bit crazy.
But the 3 of us heard these footsteps clearly upstairs. They were too scared to move. I finally decided that

someone we knew was upstairs trying to scare us. There was no electricity upstairs which meant no lights.
I got a flash light and charged up the stairs to catch whoever was walking around. When I got up there and shined the light where the footstep sounds were there were only card board boxes full of my friends families belongings.
It would have been impossible for someone to walk in that area with the boxes there. I have tried for years to
