I have never heard of a tornado curse on Snyder but I once lived by an old man there who told me there was a trantula spider curse put on the small town. An old Indian lady put the trantula spider curse on the place after she was cheated out of some money a long time ago.
The old man said when trantula spiders are seen crossing the road or seen near your house this means there will be no rain falling from the sky for many months. I think

he was just plain crazy. But it's was a good creepy story any way.

I know nothing of any kind of Indian curse being on Snyder but that f-5 tornado that hit Snyder many years ago was terrible. I have been told there was once a major railroad service that went through Snyder.
The day of the terrible tornado a large amount of passengers got off the train to eat and walk around. It was never determined how many there were when the tornado hit because of all the damage and so many bodies lying everywhere.
The bodies of most were so badly damaged that many people had a hard time trying to identify family members and friends. I think some of the ghosts that people report around Snyder have something to do with all of the deaths of people killed by that tornado.
