Many years ago it was used as a place to dump bodies after some poor person was killed by gangsters. And as the years continued on it was also used to dump the dead by all kinds of killers. These days there are many people who go there looking for ghosts and restless spirits.
They never leave disappointed because of all the spiritual activity. The most popular spirit there is of a small boy who will only show his face and not his body. The spring it's self

has a muddy brown colored water that comes from it.
Many ghost there will not show themselves to you but you know they are around when you can

smell something like rotting flesh. If you are an amateur ghost hunter never go there by yourself because bad things have happened to many amateur ghost hunters in the past.
It's an excellant policy to take at least one friend with you wheather they believe or not.
