A friend and I were walking in Weber Park last night and saw a younger guy walking his cat on a leash on the sidewalk. My stupid friend yelled out to him asking him his name, both the guy and his cat just stopped.
He didn't look back at us or anything he just stood there frozen while his cat did that walk around your ankles thing. We were freaked out and stopped walking towards the street. After a few seconds he started walking towards this duplex

we had to walk by to get home.
We watched the guy and his cat walk up to the door then he just disappeared. No noise from the door, it didn't even

open! We crossed the street and walked past the house on the opposite side of the street by some dorms to stay away in case he was hiding somewhere.
I felt something following us the rest of the way home but we didn't see him again. I don't know if it was his cat but there was a cat by my friends house when we got there. It was scary but we called it over and it was just a friendly kitty.
It was wearing a collar so we know his name is Sam. He still
