My little brother and I awoke to a man standing over the top of us; it was not pawpaw. He kept trying to speak, but we could not hear anything. We were so in shock that we could not make a noise. This man reminded me of someone, but I did not know who. I found myself reaching for my pawpaw, and the man disappeared. The next day my pawpaw told me of his grandfather and how he was the man in the fire. Pawpaw said he came to him to warn him of the pain

he was soon to feel. He said not to fear it, as it will be quick, and the pain would fade as soon as it came. My pawpaw did not know what to make of this

and was confused in a lot of ways.
We all went home and everyone went on as if nothing ever happened. Exactly two weeks, four days, and six hours later, my pawpaw suffered a fall from the ladder outside his house. He was just fixing the screen on the bedroom window. He was rushed to the hospital, but there was nothing they could do. He had snapped his spine in half, and there was no way to stop all the bleeding. My pawpaw went quickly as his grandfather
