It seemed to come from under the bridge at one point. Then when we got to the bridge it seemed to come from an old concrete dock down the hill from the Indian school dormitories. After a few more encounters months later we again heard the ghost crying near the creek.
We kept searching. Then while we were near the bridge we saw the ghost on the concrete dock and the long steps running up the hill to the campus. The ghost was white-gray and of a

girl about ten years old with Indian-like features.
She kept crying and sobbing. My brother took it upon himself to run or charge toward the ghost.

She disappeared and we never saw her again. We heard later in 1968 or 1969 that other employees of the Indian school had seen the ghost but they told us there was no record of any tragic deaths of Indian school students there.
Then later in my life I was living in nearby Joplin Missouri and had occasions to visit Wyandotte again and see old high school friends there. I even visited some former Indian school employees and learned that there was a secret
