I was raised just outside of Alvin but went to Alvin schools growing up. I left for a while during my stint in the military but I have been back now for a couple years. My wife and I bought a 106 year old house in 2010 on E. Bell. For the first year, we had no issues but for the past few months we have been noticing a few things. Doors closing on their own, plumbing issues (water streaming from the shower without being turned on and then stopping), and unusual perfume smells.
Lately, the past few weeks, we have been hearing a tapping or knocking sound from the kitchen area. Doesn't sound like a noise associated with an animal, it's a sharp but delayed rapping sound. My youngest child is scared to sleep in his room. I have animals but they have not alerted to anything.

I investigated the paranormal for many years and still tinker here and there. I've seen a few things, so I'm not just jumping to conclusions. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share. Incidentally, I have a history of my property dating back to the original settlers of the area. The house was built in 1905, so it was after the storm of 1900. It did see bad storms in 1905 and 1915 (the storms that destroyed what was left of Alvin), but it always survived.

I don't remember what Street I lived on because I was such a small child and this was back in the 80s. I used to play with a little boy who I thought was our neighbor. My sister just revealed to me a few years ago that there were no children other than me that lived in the neighborhood only teenagers.
