I told my Dad about it when I got older. He said that when they first moved to our house he would walk to the Transport Company for work like at 2 or 3 in the morning (this was in the 50s, and you didn't have to worry about doing that) depending on when he had to deliver his load(s). He said that even though there was no electricity turned on at that house, he would see a light bulb burning almost every night. I never spent the night at her house

We own a 365-acre farm. On that farm we have a 145-year-old house (the oldest in Amarillo. ) It has been passed down from generation to generation. It becomes quite popular around Halloween time. One late night in October me and my dad were out tending to our live stock when he tapped me on the shoulder and told me to look up at the old house. In the top story window we saw a woman wearing a fancy dress. She noticed us looking at her, so she turned and walked away.
The next day I asked my grandfather if he knew anything about it. He said it was the ghost of one of our relatives who had killed herself after the loss of her son during the Civil War. My grandfather told me to never ever go into the house, because she is known to torment those resembling her son by locking them in the house. Submitted by anonymous
