A few years back I was in Austin for a weekend job seminar. I arrived at the airport on a Thursday and checked into a hotel on Brazos Street. Some coworkers were meeting up for dinner, and I was running a little late. As I was about to jump in the shower, I heard a knock at the door. I looked out of the peep hole and saw a gray haired lady crying at the other side of the door. I opened the door to see if she needed anything. She must have had the wrong room. When I opened the door she was gone. She was nowhere in sight. Was my mind playing tricks on me? My room was in the middle of a huge hallway. I looked to both sides, and she was nowhere to be seen. That was really odd. Maybe she was let into another room as I was opening the door. Oh well, whatever!
I went back in my room confused out of my mind. I locked the door behind me and jumped back into the shower when suddenly there was that knock again. This time it was at the restroom door. I was scared. The knock continued for a good while. I turned off the shower and said out loud, ''Hey! Whoever's there? I'm calling the police. '' I was scared and did not lock the restroom door since it was only me in the room. All I could do was hope it would just go away. What was previously a knock turned into banging aggressively when suddenly the door swung open. I was certain that my life was coming to an end. I could hear someone moving around in the restroom. Why me? I lay in the tub crying for what felt like hours. I was helpless, and I was frozen and in shock. So many things were running through my mind. When would this be all over? Suddenly the door to the restroom slammed shut, and so did the door to the room. It was quiet again.
I finally built up the courage to get up and wrap a towel around my body. I ran to lock the door. It was still locked, and the chain on the door was on as well. What was going on here? I was not alone in this room. I was terrified. Someone was still in the room. I ran out straight into the elevator at the end of the hallway down to the first floor and directly to the front office. The manager called the police, and they checked out the room. They found nothing out of the ordinary. I grabbed all my belongings and went to stay with a coworker for the rest of the weekend. I was a total mess. I would never recommend staying at this hotel. It scared the daylights out of me.

Comment by Fran: There's some really old hotels around that downtown area. Some have been known to be haunted. Many have lost their lives in or around that area. Went in there, there's a ceiling of negative energy. Glad you're OK. Would it be OK to ask what hotel this happened at ?.
Comment by Ingrid: Some things are better left unsaid.
Comment by Tc: Well you warn us not to stay there; yet don't give a name. At least give the address please. Thanks.
