I'm not sure if this qualifies as a ghost story, but I lived in Barstow for a short time. I stayed in a shed in an old automotive junk yard. I can remember the first time I saw the town. It reminded me of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. All of the fields were over grown, and cars and houses were just left to rot. It looked like every one just got up and left. I needed a place to stay while I was working out in the oil field in 2012.

in ghost stories, but this really happened to me. One night as I was lying down in the trailer, I heard what seemed to be a baby crying or like a goat

crying. I thought to myself that was strange because it was about 11:30 at night, and there was only one other person living on the land, and I never saw them with a baby. I got my flashlight and walked outside.
Out in Barstow it was very dark at night. There were no city lights, and you could barely see your hand in front of you at night. I was trying to find where the crying was coming from, but all of a sudden it stopped. My flash light started
