It's like they ''Marvel'' over the deaths of God's crowned jewels - Humanity. They obsess about that and carry out demonic assignments to get people to get curious or obsessed about death, despair, and darkness.
I have been in role of exorcist and was in a home that was on land that was once a hospital and at another time an asylum that was torn down. It is also on caddo Indian burial grounds.
Well, inside one of the bedrooms was a

hideous cold spot and exceptionally oppressive feeling. A pedophile was shot to death in that room.
So, where there is history? The demonic have

the propensity to be attracted to that (and sadly attract people to delve into curiosity that is not healthy).
The most important part is to support people in these situations. The secondary is dealing w/ the darkness. If that perspective is backwards, the possibility of hurt, pain, and psychological duress is prevalent.
