I lived on the north side of town on NW 9th Street when I was little. My parents would tuck us in bed and would leave our bathroom light on for us. When they would shut the door every night a tall man would sit in a rocking chair that I had next to my bed. He was dressed like a cowboy. Even wore a cowboy hat, a red bandana and wore chaps. His name was Taboo. He was pretty nice... So we thought.
When my parents would come in the room he would push our heads down and tell us to act like we were asleep. We always played games with him. One night my parents were coming and Taboo told my brother to shut up but my brother said no. Taboo told him ''if you don't shut up and pretend you are asleep I will hurt you''. He didn't listen...

When we woke up the next morning my brother had rope burns around his neck as if someone were trying to choke him. We had a table behind our couch in the living room. The TV was off and my mom and dad saw Taboo in the reflection.. His feet propped up on the table.. His hat covering his face.. They turned around to see and he wasn't there.. A few days later I heard my mom call me..

I went to see what she wanted and she said she didn't say anything.. We ended up moving next-door to my grandmas house. We used that old house for storage.. There hadn't been electricity in that house for yeaaaarrrssss. My grandma asked me to go over there with her to look for my grandpa. The lights were somehow on. We saw a shadow in the curtains of a man wearing a cowboy hat. We thought it was my grandpa.. When we opened the door the lights turned off. There wasn't even a light bulb in the fixture.
My grandma yelled ''Vincente'' and something responded ''GET OUT'' it didn't take long for us to get out of there. A few years later the house caught on fire somehow. No one lived there.. No gas was on. Nothing. Everything was burnt to a crisp. Except for the room that I use to see Taboo in when I was little. My bedroom. Not even the door frame was burned. It honestly scared the living daylights out of me.
