I turned to look at what he was looking at and behind a sofa chair was an older woman looking at us. The moment I saw her she quickly vanished in thin air. I turned to my cousin and asked him if he saw what I saw and he said yes. He said he saw the woman come out of my bedroom and thought it was my wife but it wasn't. We built this house and no one else has lived here besides my family. I have heard stories of ghost being in the area because of the

Indians that onced lived here.
We are also close to the devil's hollow which is part of the devil's backbone one of the most haunted areas in Texas.

Maybe it was an Indian woman or an old relative happy to see her family together again. Don't know but I know what I saw and so does my cousin. Submitted by Chopper
Comment by Charles: I can relate to that because I too have been through the devil's back bone. My sister used to live in Canyon Lake on Flintstone and I have felt presences there at night when I was staying there for three months and have gone through that road at night. Some creepy things have happened there for at least 200 years is what I heard from U.S army corps of engineers at canyon Park on the southern part of the lake. And yes I have seen Indians (Apache and Mohawk) and have heard drums beating strongly there. So take precaution and don't take this too kindly. Tell everyone you know that don't know about the devil's back bone. It is bad juju. It is a black omen to all who enter that road at night.
Comment by Sssusieq: Charles, how did you know they were Mohawk Indians? I thought the Mohawks were a northeastern tribe.
