I have lived in Cibolo from long before Sweeny crashed and still live here. We used to ride the fields in the area and fish the tanks and creek. This is the first time I ever heard of the haunting. I recall watching Sweeny fly hie old plane while doing stunts. This story sure brings back some great memories growing up in a small country town. Wis it was still that way. I remember a haunting story from just across the road in a small house (still

in location). The lady that lived in the house swore it was haunted. Submitted by Steven

There was a plane crash in Cibolo near the curve of Town Creek road sometime ago involving a man named sweeney who I believe was killed in the crash. My late father knew him from working together out at Randolph afb. Sweeney was a WW2 vet and had been a flying tiger during the war according to my dad, a vet himself, only he was with where the crash happened is an open field, though a church has been built in the area not far from the crash site. The famous liberators. Where the crash happened is an open field, though a church has been built in the area not far from the crash site. There are no public campgrounds in the area of the crash, unless you what to camp on some farmer's field amongst the cows.
