A mansion is well known in Claude as The Dark Lady. Diane built the house in Panhandle, TX in 1892 and moved it to Claude in 1920, she committed suicide in the wine cellar in 1924 and haunts the home to this day.
More than one haunting occurs in the home. Also the owner of the home from 1940-1959, Sandy, also committed suicide after her husband died in 1957 . The home was vacant from 1959-1974 when a family purchased the property and had a daughter at

the age of 23 die in the den of the house and is also been believed to linger around the giant home.
Diane is the most violent spirit in the home.

She is seen as a black mass in day and a white mass at night. The home is very eerie at night. It has a lot of activity in the backyard as well. Diane has been seen wandering through the backyard.
Sandy has been seen in the kitchen and the living room in one spot. Sandy is only seen in a green recliner in the living room. She has been seen crying. She has been seen in the guest house staring out the window.
